Data Protection Privacy & Cookies Policy

Thank you for taking the time to visit our website. This notice tells you who we are, how we collect and use your personal information and how to exercise your rights in relation to our use of your personal information.

Who we are

Manse Capital is a Limited Company registered in England & Wales (registration number 03247377) whose registered address is at The Grove Manse, Town Street, Horsforth, Leeds, LS18 4RJ.

The information we collect

When we provide you with financial advice and related services, we will collect and use significant amounts of information on your personal, family and financial circumstances, including information relating to your finances, employment and health.  We will also collect and use your contact details such as telephone numbers and postal/e-mail addresses.

Why do we collect this information and what do we do with it?

It is necessary for us to collect this information in order to provide you with financial advice and related services.

We use your contact details to communicate with you in the course of providing our services and also for the purpose of marketing our services to you.  We will not issue unsolicited marketing communications without your explicit consent where such consent is required by data protection/privacy laws or regulations.  We will not pass your information to third parties for marketing purposes.

It will be necessary to pass relevant personal information about you to:

  • The operators of administration and research software we use when providing our services to you.
  • The providers of products and services such as investment platforms, investment fund managers and insurance companies when we bring you together with those third parties or when we investigate the possibility of doing so.
  • Other professional firms (such as solicitors or mortgage advisers) if we introduce you to them.

Where we arrange insurance policies for you, or investigate the possibility, we will collect information on your health and pass it to insurance companies and we will retain a copy of that information.

We may need to pass information about you to our auditors and insurers and we may also be required to share your data with our regulator, The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and other similar authorities.

After we have used your personal information as described above we will retain it indefinitely as part of detailed records of our dealings with you in order to comply with the FCA’s record-keeping rules, to enable us to deal with any future enquiries you might wish to raise and to enable us to deal with any complaints/disputes that might arise between us or between you and the providers of any products or services we advise on or arrange for you.

Verifying your identity

We are required to verify your identity for the purpose of the prevention of money laundering and other financial crime.  To do this, we carry out electronic checks by supplying information about you to a credit referencing agency called CallCredit which checks that information against databases – public or private – to which they have access.  A record of our checks will appear on your credit file but it will not affect your credit rating.  An electronic check is usually sufficient to verify your identity but if we prove unable to verify your identity using an electronic check, we will ask you to provide documentary evidence.

Your rights

  • You have the right to see the personal information that we hold about you and to correct any inaccuracies
  • You have the right to withdraw your consent for us to use your personal information
  • You have the right to ask us to delete your information but it is likely that we will not be able to do so because of legal/regulatory obligations to retain records and because we would need our records to enable us to deal with any disputes that may arise in the future.
  • You have the right to make a complaint to us about the way in which your personal information is stored or used.

If you wish to exercise any of these rights, or you have any questions about our use of your personal information, please email peverett@mansecapital.com or write to:
