Qualified to Chartered Financial Planner level and with over 20 years’ experience, Patrick has enjoyed providing colleagues with specialist support and guidance on the more complex aspects of the finance industry.
Outside of work, Patrick spends a lot of time ferrying his two children to football, rugby, swimming and gymnastics. He enjoys family days out and holidays that include plenty of activities, including 1970s-style ferry trips to Europe for summer holidays, with the car loaded down with people, clutter, roof box and bicycles. When not spending time at work or with the family, Patrick tries to get plenty of exercise, play a little piano and guitar, watch motorsport on TV and, not having grown up yet, play motor racing video games.
What's the best part of your job?
Showing people that, in the main, the requirements of our various regulators are introduced for the benefit of society as a whole and that, when you’re committed to doing the right thing, any additional effort required to meet those requirements is usually not unduly onerous.
What do you do in your free time?
Exercise (run, cycle, gym), karting, practice getting even worse at snooker.
What extinct thing would you bring back to life?
The dodo. We’d have to find a new figure of speech to emphasise how dead something is.
