Philanthropy & social investing
One of the great benefits of building wealth is to be able to use it to promote the greater good. You may be looking to support a local charity or gift within the community, but we at Manse Capital are aware of the need for personal legacy financial planning alongside this philanthropy.
Traditionally, there has been two ways of using money; firstly investing for financial return as the priority, and secondly as philanthropy, where no return is expected and social good is paramount. Money could then be given in three ways; gifting outright, setting up a foundation or charitable trust, or through Donor Advised Funds (DAFs).
However, social impact investment is now fast-becoming a specific wealth deployment strategy. It provides a financial return, a social return and capital to recycle. Manse Capital is a founder member of the UK Social Impact Academy and we are beginning to see innovative product development in this space.
